If force and pressure (energy) is needed to transform minerals and create a syncline could a Plasma Discharge Event be that creative force? The lighter and darker lines representing the different types of rocks and pattern found. With maybe the area behind the "bullet" being where the rocks are found that are associated with the more chaotic and rocky central sections.
