The Jesus statue hill is an odd Qolla type mound found in Gozo. The land around it seems to be light yellow sandstone or limestone, as you can see in the photo. The Saviours Hill (Tas Salvatur Hill) itself appears to have a core of yellow sandstone the same as the coating of il-Qolla s-Safra. How does Geology explain the shape of this hill also known as Tal-Merzuq Hill (Ray of Light Hill)? Do the Maltese folklore describing legendary events about Qolla Merzuq help us in the present to work out what may have occured in the past and what could happen in the future? It's an Electric Universe.
